1. A simple process to get press
Want to get press attention — but can't afford a publicist?
Here's what to do:
- Think about the sites you’d like your product/story to appear in.
- Go to those sites, and search for how they’ve covered your competitors or comparable brands.
- Look at who wrote those stories.
- Email those writers, pitching your product for the same format of stories they wrote.
For example, let's say you sell liquid supplements and would love to be featured in Well + Good.
If you search for liquid supplements on Well + Good, you'll get these results. It seems that products only show up in affiliate roundups like this one.
At the top of those stories, you’ll see this: “Our editors independently select these products. Making a purchase through our links may earn Well+Good a commission”.
So that’s the answer — you need to get the product in front of a Well + Good editor who works on affiliate. You could email the writers of those lists, or Google around for the site's “commerce editors" (typically the title for people who work on affiliate content). Pitch them how your product would be a fit for similar types of lists.
2. Get more reach on Instagram
Wish you could re-post your best Instagram reels?
Now you can — with Instagram Trial Reels. Here's what to know:
- The feature allows users to test new Reels on non-followers first, to see how it performs.
- However! You can use it to re-post your best-performing Reels — exposing new people to your top material!
